Susan Niditch is Samuel Green Professor of Religion at Amherst College, Massachusetts. Her other works include 'War in the Hebrew Bible: A study in the Ethics of Violence' (1993) and 'Underdogs and Tricksters: A Prelude to Biblical Folklore' (1987).
