Leah Poirier is a proud Nova Scotian, who grew up in a small rural community in Halifax County. She and her husband Robert currently live in Truro with their two sons. She chose a career as a health professional and was blessed to work in the field for over 20 years. Her portfolio includes experience in healthy public policy, advocacy, community development, grant writing, and managerial leadership. Leah prides herself in being a lifelong learner, part-time ecommerce entrepreneur, and full-time positive thinker. At the heart of all endeavors is her strong desire to serve, help others, and leave a legacy. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching home renovation shows on TV, and cooking. She plants a small vegetable garden every year, because she loves watching things grow and believes that almost everyone in the world needs to eat more veggies. The other real reason is because it reminds her of how important family and traditions are in her life
