Autorenporträt
Sugar Johnson (Ugarhon Serrette) hails from the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn with a brief stint in the Caribbean during his formative years. After earning his B.A. in Mathematics from DePauw University, Johnson worked as an analyst in the corporate sector before teaching poetry in the New York City Public School system. The burgeoning writer, actor and vocalist has shared the stage with prolific artists such as Bob Holman, Jessica Care Moore, Spike Lee, Robert Galinsky and Ursula Rucker...just to name a few. Johnson currently lives in Atlanta where he continues laboring for students and steals an occasional moment or two on stage. He can be reached at sugarjbk@gmail.com
