Autorenporträt
Jan Mitchell grew up in New Zealand and now lives with her husband beside beautiful Lake Macquarie in NSW, Australia. She has enjoyed writing both creatively and in non-fiction since her early teens. Much of her adult published writing has been in the form of magazine articles for Cruising Helmsman, a magazine for cruising yachtsmen and women. Jan has published four nonfiction books, the first a biography of a friend (tinker, tailor, soldier, sailor - the life of Colin Kerby OAM) and then a three-volume memoir of her forty years of ocean cruising. In the latter, she included many of the already published sailing articles she'd written over the years. She followed that up with a couple of storybooks for her beloved grandchildren. More lately Jan has been honing her skills in fictional short story writing. She has been commended in two short story writing competitions. As JB Mitchell, she now also writes about nutrition. Food for Eyes is her first book in the Food for ... series.
