Francis has a trio of passions-his faith, his family, and his food. He was trained to become a chef in the elite world of gastronomy in Lyon, France before being trained as a minister of the Gospel at the Reformed Seminary in Aix-en-Provence. He worked as a chef in France and Switzerland, and later created his own high-end restaurant in the USA. He was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America in 1987, and ministered as a church planter in France and in Quebec for 24 years. Francis now works with Huguenot Heritage in partnership with Third Millennium Ministries. He and his wife Donna have five children

Après avoir complété une formation en gastronomie aux côtés d'un chef étoilé de Lyon, le pasteur Francis Foucachon a fait ses premiers pas en théologie pratique par une formation sur le terrain à Lyon avec le pasteur Ken Beach, avant de poursuivre une Licence en théologie à la Faculté Jean Calvin à Aix-en-Provence. En 1987, Il a été ordonné dans la Presbyterian Church in America, pour ensuite implanter une église réformée à Repentigny dans la Province du Québec. Durant cette période, Francis a continué à poursuivre des études théologiques à Reformed Theological Seminary à Orlando. En 1997, de retour dans sa ville natale de Lyon, Francis a créé une nouvelle Église Reformée, aujourd'hui l'Église Reformée Évangélique de Gerland. Il a également fondé et assumé la Présidence de l'École Américaine de Lyon. En 2005, il a confié sa paroisse à son gendre pour revenir aux USA et permettre à ses quatre autres enfants d'étudier à la Faculté New Saint Andrews en Idaho. Pour rester près de ses enfants et les aider à financer leurs études, Francis a créé un restaurant gastronomique, West of Paris. En 2011, il a vendu son restaurant pour créer et assurer la Présidence de l'Association Héritage Huguenot, qui offre gratuitement des cours de théologie en français en ligne, en partenariat avec Third Millennium Ministries. Il est l'auteur du livre Food for Thought.Francis et son épouse Donna ont cinq enfants et une armée de petits-enfants.
