Starr Professor of Law, EU Jean Monnet Professor ad personam and Director, Centre for Research on Transnational Law, at Peking University School of Transnational Law, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, China. He also holds a part-time Special Endowed Chair Professorship of Food Safety at Northwest Agricultural & Forestry University, Yangling, Shaanxi, China. He is Professor Emeritus at Aix-Marseille Université and Visiting Professor, College of Europe, Bruges. His most recent book is EU, the WTO and China: Global Legal Pluralism and International Trade Regulation.
