Produktbeschreibung
The knees, ankles and feet not only support the body weight but also play an important role in the dynamic functioning of the lower limb and the alignment of its axis. Any failure in these areas is responsible for the development of musculoskeletal disorders. This book is intended for podiatrists. We present the results of a Tunisian cross-sectional study carried out on sixty gonarthrosis patients in the rheumatology department of the Kassab Institute. The aim of the study was to determine the morpho-static characteristics of the foot in patients with gonarthrosis and to study their association with the severity of knee damage. It shows the frequency of static foot disorders in gonarthrosis. The most frequent lesions were hyperkeratosis (calluses and calluses), Hallux valgus deformity, pronation of the foot and tendency towards flat foot. In this book we emphasize the importance of a detailed podiatric examination in gonarthrosis patients in order to adapt the therapeutic management and improve the prognosis of the disease.
