In the aftermath of her husband's medical crisis and the brain surgery that followed, Jessica Dubey contemplates the possibility of a life without him, re-examines those early warning signs that something was terribly wrong, and walks side-by-side with her husband through "recovery's uncertain re-entry." Her poetry takes a heart-wrenching, yet unsentimental look at caregiving and trauma in this new reality as they leave their old life and sense of security behind. It is a story of love and resilience.
