Produktbeschreibung
This insightful and heartfelt collection of Ben Mitchell's work brings together more than 70 poems and song lyrics reflecting many elements and experiences in life. Some verses draw their inspiration from emotions, memories and relationships, while others offer wry, powerful and poignant observations on society, politics, religion and the world in which we live. By casting his eye over the past and the present, Ben provides readers with a wide variety of subjects, viewpoints and influences. Deeply personal poems and lyrics are interspersed with those that focus on the familiar, which will immediately resonate and strike a chord with many people. Memorable events, moments of discovery and realisation, music and humour are all featured. For good measure, Ben has also included several amusing anecdotes and recollections - ranging from those centred on his childhood and family, to his experiences with the elite on a golf course, and an interesting encounter at Melbourne Airport.
Autorenporträt
Ben Mitchell has always written poetry-come-prose and songs, working all over this world of ours as a carpenter, scribbling things down in a note book or on the back of a bit of timber. Life has been eventful, filled with interesting experiences and colourful people. What you will find in these pages are examples of what my travels and the life he has lived, taught him. His mother never knew he was an aspiring writer. This book is a tribute to her and a thank you.
