Born Faye Eileen Beard in Harlem, New York, it was clear from an early age that she was a child of great promise. As a young woman, she struggled for a sense of identity in a world that denied the significance of living a life of virtue and spirituality. Although she demonstrated academic excellence, it never held compelling significance for her. She could not understand having knowledge void of a higher purpose. Those around her said knowledge was to be used to gain economic security and prestige, but she was never quite convinced. Instead, she found that pursuing the Divine and establishing a personal relationship with The Creator brought her much joy. Her perceptions, views, and ideas set her apart at an early age. As she became older, she grew in understanding. It became clear to her that we all have been given a gift to share in this world, and only to the extent that we share it can it grow, enabling the individual to live purposefully and in self-fulfillment. Acknowledging that truth has inspired Faye, spiritually known as Hawwah Nofeeyah, to be faithful to her calling, having been blessed with great spiritual insights and penetrating understandings of the human condition. She has found her authentic voice.
