This book is based on information generated over a decade of research implemented to develop integrated forage production options in medium altitude and highland areas of western Ethiopia. It is composed of nine chapters. In the first chapter a brief review of feed resources research outputs with particular emphsis on western zones of the country is presented. Chapters ranging from 2 to 8 report findings from various field research activities in the areas of pasture management, integrated food and feed production systems and evaluation of the residual effect of imporved foarges fallow on maize grain yield and yield components. In the ninth chapter, conclusions and recommendations are given. The information contained in the book is believed to contribute much for enhancing sustainable forage production mainly under tropical and subtropical regions.
