The most frequent accidental cause of household death in children under 6 years of age is the inhalation of a foreign body (FB). Delay in managements is blamed for death in cases of foreign body inhalations. The absence of a recognizable penetration syndrome complicates and delays not only the diagnosis but also the treatment of a FB. (1) Methods: We are presenting a review article about the magnitude of this problem, presentations, complications, managements using a review of the literature and some of our personal experiences. Results: We are presenting the results of some different authors plus ours. Conclusion: Early bronchoscopy is a paramount in any case of suspected foreign body aspiration.
