The rise content and language integrated programmes in Italy and Europe has led to a new way of thinking education. However, little research has been conducted on what students go through when the difficulty of studying an already complex subject is added to that of using a foreign language as the medium through which they have to approach it. In Foreign Language Anxiety and Motivation, author Guido Held presents his investigation into two of the most important psychological aspects of language education in CLIL programmes in Italy. This book's goal is to answer questions regarding both the psychological welfare of high-school students, and the implementation of CLIL programmes in Italy, such as "is there a better way to do things?".
