This document is a compilation of information that has been adapted to the proposed environmental financing mechanism. The harvesting of wild cacao beans during the collection, drying, storage and transportation stages is basically done in a rustic and artisanal manner, causing losses in addition to low income from the sale of the product. In order to solve the deficiencies found, community producers are strengthened through a voluntary conservation agreement, where the communities commit to conserve the primary forest ecosystems, reforest forest harvesting areas, improve the quality of life, and implement new production systems, for which resources will be provided in addition to creating a compensatory fund and support in the form of advice, technical assistance, and monitoring. The established commitment is adapted to the demands and needs found, guaranteeing the financing for the implementation and execution of the project, promoting the integral and sustainable use of forestecosystems.
