But Dara is a healer, a Priestess and it is not in her to do harm. Lothar was returning on a trading voyage when they encountered a terrible storm, and a traitor who tried to kill him, he washes on shore. Lothar proves his loyalty to Dara, the King and her kinsman. He trains them in combat and prepares them for a battle he knows will be coming. -Redrabbit Waiting for the Second Book I have only one complaint about this book, it ended much to soon! I'll be anxiously awaiting the second book to see where the story goes. The characters are well written and quite unique, it has an interesting plot and is an enjoyable story. -BL Froman Thoroughly enjoyable 9th century story I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the journey of Dara and Lothar. The main characters are wonderfully fleshed out, the story line is strong with a few unexpected twists that kept me guessing throughout the book. -Renee
