Autorenporträt
After five years of creating custom pet portraits for her online shop, Inga wrote and illustrated four children's books. Her whimsical children's stories all feature pet characters and express positive teachings. Then, more recently, on a sultry stormy night in Cape May, New Jersey, Inga experienced an unusual presence while renting an old seaside cottage. The event inspired her to write a historical fiction novella entitled, "In the Age of Buoyancy". Ever since she was a child, Inga has had a connection to nature. Everything from tadpoles to trees have been subjects of her poetry and pictures. Hiking at mystical placed such as Hawk Mountain, Pennsylvania, have especially instilled respect and reverence for fine feathered creatures. Over a year ago, after experiencing a significant loss, the author was compelled to write this poetic story when she received a special visit from a bird of prey. About the same time that Autumn, the author/illustrator began noticing the similarities between colorful feathers and falling leaves.
