My book is my memoir. It highlights the ups and downs of living with kidney disease. I think it could appeal to readers of all ages. It is filled with gratitude and hope. It illustrates that life after receiving a transplant (or two) is a wonderful journey. I would love to have a positive impact on the donor rate in Canada by people reading my book. This is an important message. It is also a reflection of the "normalcy" that can be achieved after receiving the gift of life (a transplant). My kids are both truly miracles and their stories, as they relate to mine, need to be shared as well.

Autorenporträt
Melody Klassen worked in education for over 20 years as an Educational Assistant. She knew when it was time to retire. For many years she had the idea of writing her life story. It has been a long process but it is story worth writing and reading. Melody lives in Toronto with her daughter, Lauren. She has been a wonderful housemate and care giver since the beginning of the pandemic. Again - much gratitude. Fortunately, the rest of her family - her son and daughter-in-law and two grand children - live close by. Close enough to walk! Melody is excited to share this book with the readers. It is filled with poignancy, hope, but most of all gratitude.
