He graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa and earned a Master's at Morningside in Sioux City, Iowa. After teaching fifth and sixth graders for 35 years, he became interested in writing. His wife, Judith, a long time freelance writer, helped him with this work by critiquing and editing. Paul died in February 2022.
