I started writing at the age of seventeen. This is when the first novel was written, but not published. I grew up in Elizabeth City North Carolina and came from a large family. At twenty-one writing was my mental escape and I spent quite a few years creating poems. My goal has been working on getting my writings published for a long time. I would like to thank my all my family and friends who believed in my work. They've seen me go through ups and downs and I have never lost faith in myself. I would also like to thank my deceased wife Dahl A. Banks, because she gave me the title for my poems.
