Many people have experienced hurt of various kinds which they find difficult to deal with. This workshop helps deal with personal pains, hurt and anger, in less extreme circumstances. The exercises in this workshop were also designed to help them do so. It can be adapted as a second level AVP or Trauma Consciousness and Resilience (TCR) workshop which helps participants deal with the psychosocial impact of trauma and other hurts which can form blocks to forgiveness and reconciliation, thus allowing them to move on and continue with their lives. Such personal hurts need to be dealt with before facilitators can help others to overcome similar issues. Experiential methods are used throughout allowing participants to reflect and share their own experience, so that they can learn from it and from the experience of others, while establishing strong links with others in the group for mutual support. The workshop can be offered as a 5, 3- or 2-day workshop, and agendas for both are presented here. Obviously the advantage of the longer workshop is that it allows participants more time to reflect and absorb the learning that takes place, as well as covering more ground.
