The daughter of a dairy farmer, Susan grew up watching westerns and riding horses. Whisked off to college, she met a man allergic to her beloved horses, and married him. Now the only horses she stables are the ones in her books. Susan and her family reside in Pennsylvania near the home of the Little League World Series.
