Microspheres are the carriers which have been frequently used for sustained release of various drugs. The release of NSAID in stomach causes several implications in which one of the major is erosion of gastric mucosa and ulceration. To prevent this some proton pump inhibitors can also be given with diclofenac. The present system is designed in a manner to deliver both the drugs in a system which deliver the drug in alkaline pH and prevent its degradation in acidic pH i.e. in stomach, thus minimizing their side effects and also make it a system for sustained release which increases patient compliance.…mehr
