Depending upon the large number of patient, medication is sometimes updated. Gliclazide is a type-2 anti-diabetic drug which aqueous solubility is low. This book therefore provides information on formulation and preparation of gliclazide capsule by solid dispersion method using different surfactants and their in vitro evaluation as solid dispersion is one of the most promising approaches for solubility enhancement. Fusion method of solid dispersion was adopted for preparation of capsules using polyethylene glycol in different ratios. The capsules were also subjected to different physical and chemical test. Thus it can be said that, it is possible to formulate and prepare gliclazide capsule by solid dispersion with success in the laboratory and it would be a remarkable addition to the formulation of Pharmaceutical field indeed.
