In Forsaken, Stacey Price shares her journey through heartbreak and healing. It is her hope that her story will resonate with others who face the pain and challenges of divorce and feel adrift in a sea of self-doubt... and that they will be inspired to heal and embrace a full life once again. In marriage we vow to forsake all others. This was not the case for me. I was forsaken. There were many days and months when I felt alone and discarded. I wondered, Was God listening to me? I knew He loved me, but would He answer my prayers? The beauty of hindsight is that in looking back over those years, I can say with confidence that God truly was with me every step of the way. He heard my prayers and I am in awe of the outcomes... and the way He helped me through those years of feeling hurt and abandoned. It has been a long and painful road, but one that has taught me the resilience of the human spirit and the power we have to survive even the most devastating ordeals. Today, I hold in my heart the memory of the spirit and freedom of a beautiful spring day when my children and I started our new lives. I can still feel that crisp air on my face and the joy filling my soul. I can still look up and see the sun radiating on all aspects of the day: the blue sky, the rays of sun reflecting off the mountains, and the sparkle of the water. It was a reminder that God is always with us... shining His guiding light. - SP
