Autorenporträt
DOUNIA BISSAR is Senior Lecturer in French at the University of North London. As French Coordinator on the Open Language Programme, she has developed the generic course syllabi and assessment instruments, as well as designing teaching/learning materials (including self-study) for French. Her research interests are in discourse analysis and its application to language teaching, particularly the grammar of French. She has also written papers on language testing.

HELEN PHILLIPS is Deputy Director of Applied Foreign Languages at the University of Bristol, and was formerly Director of the Open Language Programme at the University of North London, one of the largest IWLP'S in the UK. She has taught French on various commercial language training courses and at undergraduate level. She is the co-author of ‘En Train de Parler’, a French language course written for Eurostar.

CÉCILE TSCHIRHART is Senior Lecturer in French at the University of North London. She has also taught at Liverpool John Moores University and City of Liverpool Community College. She has written a number of papers on independent study and developed teaching and learning materials for students and staff. She is the independent learning coordinator on the IWLP at the University of North London.
