At the end of the 70s, a group of Kharkiv teachers under the general guidance of V.S. Bibler started to develop and experimentally conduct dialog lessons in Kharkiv schools. The research work was carried out at the first stage by S. Kurganov, V. Litov. Kurganov, V. Litovsky, I. Solomadin, V. Yampolsky; later they were joined by G. Zgursky, M. Kubel, I. Manko, V. Medintsev, T. Rosiychuk and others; in Kiev - G. Ball, A. Volynets, T. Morozovskaya, V. Titov. In addition, a large seminar on the theory and practice of the School of Dialogue of Cultures was held in the capital in 2005-2010.The scientific heritage of Litovsky presented in this volume is a non-standard text with almost no academic clichés and no usual reference lists. But the articles clearly reflect the heuristic processes that took place at the School of Dialogue of Cultures: one can feel the pulsation of the educator's thought through the years. In publishing this collection, we would like to believe that the author'senthusiasm will resonate with practitioners and theorists - all those who are not indifferent to the problems of building a modern school.
