FOUNDATIONS takes an in depth approach to the design and function of ministry and discipleship. We find in the modern Church that our system of training is flawed. Ministry continually tries to add "knowledge" to our faith, when the Bible says we are to add "virtue" to the believer first (2 Peter 1:5). This is why so many believers "know to to good," but struggle in their daily life. There are two kinds of "knowledge" spoken of in the Bible: information and application. Information is knowledge that "puffs up." Hosea says "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge," but he is revealing our need for the application necessary for the salvation of our souls. The key to an overcoming faith is a renewed mind. FOUNDATIONS exposes the traditions the modern Church is mired in and offers a functional approach to Discipleship and spiritual training. Many teach that Solomon asked GOD for "wisdom" when in reality he asked for an "understanding heart (1 Kings 3:9)." FOUNDATIONS is designed to help you develop an understanding heart, so you can incline your heart toward wisdom. It is an exegetical study of the principles, practices, and doctrines of the Kingdom of GOD; a tool for the serious disciple.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Throughout Dr. Ross' more than twenty-eight years of ministry, God has blessed him with a well rounded understanding of Church life. Dr. Ross has been the pastor of small and large churches, and he has experience in the dynamics of both. His ten years as a Chaplain in the Texas prison system was an eye opener for him, and God allowed him the blessing of ministering to many fallen believers and Pastors. Dr. Ross was on staff and led denominational churches for thirteen years before he moved into the non-denominational Church field in 1987. During his thirty years of marriage, he raised four children and presently has two grandsons. Dr. Ross began his formal education in September 1982 and received his Doctorate in 2000. God called Dr. Ross to work with Pastors and congregations, developing discipleship programs that focused on "nursing fathers and mothers" in the faith in 1997 (See Isaiah 49:22-26). Dr. Ross became a Certified Belief Therapist in 1999. Dr. Ross wrote a series of lessons titled "The Spiritual Roots of Distortions and Disorders," which are being used with great success, training Pastors, Church Staff, Drug and Family Counselors, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and volunteers in the Texas Prison system. Dr. Ross created Dimensional Ministry in 1997 and has been working with churches in discipleship since that time. Dr. Ross states that there are two valuable truths every Church leader must know: First, disciples are raised, not birthed, and secondly, you cannot disciple lost people. Dr. Ross believes the ministry must return its emphasis to the quality of congregational maturity, rather than focusing on the quantity of people in the local church. Dr. Ross believes only effective discipleship, that has a firm biblical foundation, will return the Church to her first love.
