Autorenporträt
Leonard Lafleur was the fifth of a family of 10 children and grew up in Lachute, Québec. From an early age, he was an avid reader and thinker, rooting through dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibles and any English or French books he could lay hands on. He attended pre-school, then attended the local catholic boys school. He was sent to Ste-Thérèse Seminary boarding school for four years. Decidedly not priest material, he returned to Lachute Secondary Boys' School and on to 12th grade in St-Jerôme. He studied Anthropology at Université de Montréal and worked at the Lachute Golf Club during the summer months. Leonard spent two winters travelling across North America and Europe. He began a career at Air Canada and worked in various departments for the next 31 years. Married to his long-time love Monique Collard, they have two children, Sarah and Alexandre.
