Authors J.C. (Jim) Tumblin and C. Milton Hinshilwood contribute years of expertise to compile this history of a community filled with natural beauty. Tumblin, who practiced optometry in Fountain City for 46 years, is a member of numerous local historical societies. Hinshilwood served on the Library Board and as president of City Beautiful when he lived in South Pasadena, California. He is also the founding president of the East Tennessee Postcard Club and co-author of Old Los Angeles and Pasadena in Vintage Postcards.
