This book is considered useful for the undergraduate and graduate students of optical engineering and computer science. The information is basically dependent upon the Fourier transformations and convolution operations given in the Pioneer text book of J.W. Goodman "Introduction to Fourier optics and holography'. The basics of Fourier Optics is presented in chapter 1 giving diffraction examples of important apertures used in laser optics and diffraction from sinusoidal amplitude and phase grating. Application on laser speckle imaging using modulated apertures are given. In addition, new…mehr

In addition, new interferometers called cascaded two and multiple beam are presented and applied on microscopic images like Corona virus and Erythrocytes blood cells. These are presented in the next fifteen chapters.
Autorenporträt
The author was born in Egypt. He graduated from the Ain shams University, Fac. Sci., in June 1973 with honors degree and holds a M.Sc. degree in Laser Optics (Dec. 1976). He got a scholarship in France in 1978 and obtained the title of Doctor of Science in 1985. Now he is  Professor of theoretical optics and laser at Ain Shams University.
