Fascinated with early sci-fi horrors like The Blob, Tarantula, and Planet of the Apes she also grew to love great fantasy literature, such as C.S. Lewis' Narnia series, Terry Brooks Shannara, and Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain.
