The sole purpose of this little introductory sketch is an attempt at conveying to readers my sympathies at the time; a portrayal of the young man's emotional reaction towards distressing human influences on the natural order. Though naïve at the time, I still to this day subscribe to the honesty of that young man's beliefs and I sincerely hope that the character in my book would be regarded as true to such a type.
