Autorenporträt
Several years ago, Deborah began to realize there was a difference between reading the Word and meditating on it. One night she was awakened by a still small voice. The voice whispered to her, "Thessalonians." A little while later, she heard it again, but now the voice was louder. She got up and began to read Thessalonians again. She realized the Holy Spirit was leading her to 1 Thessalonians, chapter 4. The more she read, the stronger her desire to understand began to grow. She soon developed a new understanding of time spent with God. She would read the Word, which then led her to meditation, which then led her to prayer. And prayer always led her back to the Word. Then she was in a place where God could begin to reveal things to her. Once again, she was awakened, but this time it was a voice like thunder. "Who are the dead in Christ?!" Immediately she was back in the Word. Then she heard a knock and a door opened. "Seek and you shall find." Then again she prayed, "Let all things hidden be revealed." The Holy Spirit took her to Luke, chapter 15, and showed her the prodigal son. Though he was alive, he was dead to his father. Not until he repented to his father and to heaven did his father say, "You were dead, but now you are alive."
