The persistent increase in those aged 65 and above is anticipated. Therefore, examining new strategies in geriatric medicine to provide more efficient health service is necessary. This document examined the effectiveness of geriatric outreach team within secondary care. in addition to literature review with outreach activities in critical care, psychiatric service, and geriatric service. Obtaining clinicians' opinions on current core activities in geriatric medicine and ascertaining expectations of geriatric medicine in view of other subspecialties. Targeting specific geriatric symptoms in medical and surgical wards is a more effective approach than CGA in reducing Length of Stay, costs and, in addition, improves patient care. In most geriatric subspecialties, there is enough evidence to support the outreach model to control geriatric symptoms and escalate the discharge of older people to their own environments without transferring patients to the care of the elderly wards.
