Autorenporträt
A graduate of Prague's Charles University, George Fabian pursued advanced education and research in Germany, Canada, and the United States. Both by training and instincts he is an inspective historian and author straddling the worlds of ideas, politics, and culture. He debuted in English with Karl Marx Prince of Darkness (2011), a massive re-write of life and legacy of the 'father of communism'. His latest challenge to conformity is the biography of Franz Kafka, the iconic Prague writer notable for inscrutability. With the support of unexplored sources and original photos, Fabian navigates through the maze of facts and fables to render a fresh, surprisingly revealing representation of Kafka the man, his novels, and his women.
