Ilka Weigand, Erzieherin und Dipl. Sozialpädagogin, war viele Jahre in der Krippe, Hort und Kindertagesstätte tätig und übernahm die Konzeption vom KIGA-Kongress, der nach fünf Jahren ein Teil der didacta - die Bildungsmesse wurde.

Armin Krenz, Prof. (h.c.) et Dr. (h.c.) sowie Honorarprofessor für Entwicklungspsychologie und Elementarpädagogik, arbeitet seit 2014 als Lehrkraft an der Staatlichen Landesuniversität Moskau. Zuvor war er in den Jahren 1985 - 2013 als Wissenschaftsdozent mit dem Forschungsschwerpunkt "Ausdrucksformen des Kindes und deren Bedeutungswerte" am Institut für angewandte Psychologie und Pädagogik in Kiel tätig.
