The Oficina Livre de Música (Free Music Workshop), which as a proposal arose from a demand from the staff, users and family members of the Clarice Lispector Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS), located in the Engenho de Dentro neighborhood, in the northern suburbs of the city of Rio de Janeiro, as well as other members of civil society, aims to act as a popular education device and practice that triggers, maintains, enhances and multiplies new solidarity relationships, through activities, actions and meetings where sound is the catalyst, whether through experimentation and appreciation; or through the exchange and diversity of experiences that are built and/or expressed. Music thus becomes an instrument of acceptance and expression, through the construction, exchange and sharing of listenings.
