This charming allegory, suitable for all age groups, is about a boy called Freedom. Born the son of gipsy tinkers, the boy is left outside a monastery when his parents are refused help in the coldest of winters. The story ends with the realisation that mutual support can always rebuild democracy for social well-being, and it counters opposition because he - Freedom - always continues in the minds of all people. There is always hope, as long as each person takes responsibility for it.

Autorenporträt
This allegory about Freedom and its opponents, the Wolves, was told by Dietmar Schönherr in order to raise funds for a new culture centre in Nicaragua. The CASA DE LOS TRES MUNDOS (House of Three Worlds) CASA is a podium for all sorts of cultural events. It provides a country-wide network built on expectations of a peaceful society. One of Dietmar Schönherr's central occupations is his work with deprived children to develop their creativity. Street children, as well as children and young people from other social classes, are welcomed at CASA art schools. Please support this marvellous, ground-breaking work for freedom in Nicaragua.
