This paper aims to analyze freedom of expression as a fundamental and international right. It also looks at the right to freedom of expression in Brazil and internationally through the Inter-American Human Rights System and the European Human Rights System. To understand the limits of the exercise of freedom of expression with a broad look at the national and international legal scenario, based on the case law of the respective Courts and Tribunals. And finally, to look at the concept of hate speech as a form of discrimination and its link to the restriction of the exercise of freedom of expression, and in the case in question against the Jewish people.
