Based on participant observation, we lived at the school for at least 10 months, where we were able to observe a high school workshop and work on the conflicts and contradictions of self-management at school and classroom level. The school seems to value the Freinet methodology, but without strengthening the bonds of more informal sociability with the students, which compromises its reach as a libertarian pedagogy.
