Friction welding has been developed in the last decades and applied to joint similar and dissimalar metals for various applications. Despite the progress , friction welding parameters are determined experimentally . Friction welding machines are expensive . The book shows that it is possible to develop machine from conventional machines , using local resources , to give acceptable joints . This is useful not only for experimental works but also for production in small quantities or for job workshop . the devolpment of the machine is helpful for workshops , especially in the underdeveloped countries where the financial resources are limited
