Lidia Ashton was born in 1953 in Poland. She arrived in Australia in 1982. She lives in Perth, Western Australia with her husband. She is reaching out to children, although her writing may inspire adults too. Her work is simple, easy to read and yet by it's simplicity she manages to highlight the values of loyalty, friendship, politeness and respect. "Friends" is her first children's book.
