Determined not to be a statistic, Toya Mccray recounts her journey of being raised in the tough streets of Brooklyn, New York's roughest areas: Bed-Stuy and Coney Island. Faced with tough lessons and tough choices she had to endure, she leaves Brooklyn after escaping her abusive ex-husband.
