Since Cabrera and in general the whole region of Sumapaz has a high historical transcendence in terms of the organization of the peasantry. Paula Andrea González González est née à Bogotá, en Colombie, en 1995. Elle est titulaire d'un diplôme en éducation de base avec spécialisation en sciences sociales de l'université de Cundinamarca, à Fusagasugá, en Colombie. Elle s'intéresse de près aux questions liées au genre et à l'éducation. Ce livre est le résultat de ses recherches.
