Inspired by the ministry experiences of a real pastoral couple, From Battles to Victory follows a husband and wife team and their teenage children through two ministry callings in the same county where they encounter incredible challenges and seemingly crushing defeats. Will these callings be too much for the Hansons, tearing them apart as a family, or will this household rise to the occasion and fight the spiritual battles they encounter together? Can Pastor Steve and his family forgive those who wound them? Will their trust in God and dedication to their callings produce victorious outcomes? Written with the seminary student and ministry leader in mind, this novel/handbook highlights important Biblical strategies and practices to help equip people for ministry on a spiritual level so they can experience more victories in spiritual battles during their ministry assignments. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood . . ." (Ephesians 6:12, NIV). Dr. Deborah Burd is a native Ohioan, residing there most of her life. She and her husband, Philip, live near the Cleveland, Ohio area. The couple enjoys hiking, studying the Scriptures together, and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Deborah has a D.Min. in Transformational Leadership from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio. She is a co-founder and president of Besorah Institute for Judaic-Christian Studies & Biblical Research in Twinsburg, Ohio. https: //besorahinstitute.org Deborah has always loved writing, and after listening to the many challenging ministry experiences of a veteran pastoral couple, she felt moved to write a book that focuses on spiritual warfare in ministry. Deborah's father was also a minister, so growing up in the church allowed her to see first-hand the spiritual battles he dealt with, thus bringing a more personal understanding to this book.
