Autorenporträt
Brendan McCann is the youngest of ten children. He made the inevitable decision to depart for pastures new, which was indicative of his nine older siblings. He joined the Irish Guards in April 1971, initially for three years; however he continued to serve for a total of twenty four years. His story is a tongue-in-cheek tale of shenanigans from his earliest memory in Belfast, to his arrival in Hong Kong as a serving Irish Guardsman. It is told with a sense of honesty, truth, compassion and above all, the ultimate sense of humour he carries with him at all times.
