Academically, Yiga Richard Mary qualified in business Administration and awarded a Diploma as a Franciscan Tertiary. He was behind the establishment of the interreligious program (INTERPRO) and Interreligious Council of Uganda (IRCU), NGOs responsible for promoting religious tolerance, peaceful co-existence.
