Pat Freeman has lived all of her life in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, and has lived in Sarnia, Ontario since 1957. She is the divorced mother of size, grandmother of fourteen, and step-grandmother to three. After twenty-five years of homemaking, she moved to London, Ontario, and started a new career as a Christian Addictions Counselor, focusing on alcoholism, drug addiction, gambling, and also grief counseling. Employed by the Salvation Army in London, Ontario, working with transients and prison inmates, she has traveled throughout the Province of Ontario, visiting in most of the prisons and jails over a span of eleven years. After her eldest son's death in 1997, she took early retirement from her position with the Salvation Army, but continued to visit prisons and jails and counsel on a volunteer basis. This first time author is presently involved with speaking to women's groups on occasion, is a one-on-one counselor and mentor, and a Bible Study teacher.
