Author KRISTINE OHKUBO resides in Los Angeles and writes about Japan and Japanese culture. While growing up in Chicago, she developed a profound respect and love for Japan and its people. She has written extensively about this intriguing nation, drawing on her frequent travels to provide readers with her unique perspective.She made her publishing debut in 2016 with an anthology of travel blog posts about Japan, which was later revised and republished in 2022. Over the years, she has published numerous books about Japan and its rich culture. Additionally, she has lent her expertise to the production of various publications for fellow writers.In later 2024, the pursuit that launched her into the world of writing has ultimately concluded her literary odyssey. She shifted her focus away from Japan and Japanese culture and returned to her original passion for old-time radio. She published a comprehensive book that detailed the entire history of the popular radio show, The Great Gildersleeve. The show was highly successful in the United States during the 1940s. Through this journey, Kristine's writing career came full circle.As an author, Kristine, believes that exploring different cultural perspectives through writing fosters empathy, understanding, and expands our historical awareness.
