It is true that the first breath of everyone's life journey begins in innocence. The environment of what we hear or see plays an important role to what we become in our lifetime, which means our parents' guidance is critical to what we become. This author did not have the privilege of parental guidance due to the early death of his father and tough situation his mother found herself in. Without parental guidance, he took the wrong road. However, through miraculous grace, he became born again and made a 180 degree turn on the right road. Dr. Ralph Jackson McIntyre is a World War Two Navy combat veteran. He has witnessed first-hand sacrifices that were paid in preserving our great Christian nation of America. After his war days ended, Ralph married Frances, on May 22nd, 1946. In 1953, their lives found new direction as they surrendered their lives to God. In 1957, he was ordained into the ministry. He founded and pastored two churches in Maryland. He served on the district board of the East Central District of the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) for eight years as a presbyter and one year as the secretary/treasurer. The East Central District consisted of Washington, D.C. and the states of Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. In 1974, Maryland and Washington, D.C. became a new district. Dr. Ralph McIntyre was elected as the pioneering District Superintendent of the Maryland-D.C. District and served in this position for fourteen years. He is presently an Honorary Board Member of both the Maryland-D.C. District Board and the UPCI General Board. In 1981 he graduated from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, receiving the Degree: "Doctor of Ministry." Ralph and Frances have two children, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
